Two New Texas Golf Destinations on Our Radar

A Note from the Publisher

One of the things I’ve always enjoyed about publishing OTL is having an excuse to keep looking around the corner. What’s opening? What’s changing? Where should we go next?

Two Texas golf developments have my attention right now, and they couldn’t be more different.

Bluejack Ranch

Bluejack Ranch is taking shape in Aledo, just outside Fort Worth. Tiger Woods and TGR Design are behind the golf course, their second Bluejack project in Texas following Bluejack National near Houston. The new property sits on a 914-acre former working ranch and is being built as much more than a golf club, with residential, wellness, dining and ranch experiences surrounding the course. The golf course is expected to open this fall.

Wild Spring Dunes

Then there’s Wild Spring Dunes in East Texas.

This one has a completely different feel. Developed by Michael Keiser Jr., Wild Spring Dunes is built into the pine forests, meadows and spring-fed ravines north of Nacogdoches. Tom Doak designed the first course, and the property has already offered preview play while preparing for its full 2026 opening. A second course from Coore & Crenshaw is also part of the vision.

On Our Radar

One private. One public. North Texas and East Texas. Tiger Woods and Tom Doak.

Two very different reasons to get in the car and see what’s next.

They’re both firmly on the OTL radar.
